Bethel Follies 2009 Planning Meeting 1

Attendees:  Pastor Rebecca Boardman, Cindy Gross, Michael Kunz, Sherman Lee, , Terri Owen, Tom OwenMaggie Schmoeker, Kristina Stierholz, Albert Webster, Mary Witt, (anyone's name missing?)

Goals of the meeting -- to agree on major points (like dates), enough to get by until after the holidays.

Notes:

1.  Discussed dates for the event -- decided on 2/21

2.  Discussed dinner or snacks -- decided on snacks

3.  Discussed charging for tickets or free will offering -- both, plus Thrivent matching funds

4.  People volunteered for the major roles:

1. Point of Contact -- Michael Kunz
2. Food -- Cindy Gross, Terri Owen
3. Set up Hall / Decorations -- Maggie Schmoeker
4. Stage Direction -- Albert Webster, Tom Owen
5. Lighting, Sound -- Nathan Schroeder (need to ask him), Albert Webster
6. Publicity -- Kristina Webster
7. Music Direction -- Sherman Lee
8. Assemble Acts -- Michael Kunz, Sherman Lee, Kristina Webster
9. Program -- Terri Owen
10. Emcees -- youth
11. Clean Up -- (forgot to ask for volunteer)

5.  Next meeting:  1st or 2nd Sunday of January -- in the morning between services

6.  Open items:

1. Write a description of what the Follies are (Sherman)
2. Provide example of previous shows and acts (Sherman)
3. Write publicity (Kristina). 
4. Also -- this meeting should have included brainstorming for another fundraising event (in addition to the Follies and Easter Breakfast) -- we need to plan a separate planning session for this topic.
